Producing renewable energy
The MOSOLF Group is intensifying the parallel use of its spaces for the production of renewable energy. In addition to photovoltaic car park roofs and hall roofs, we are also looking at additional opportunities such as wind power, hydrogen and biomass. In addition to the operational advantages for our customers and staff, our actions also promote the sustainable electricity supply of our company.
PRODUCTION OF SOLAR POWER
Photovoltaic car park roofs
Years ago, the MOSOLF Group began additionally using their logistics areas for the production of solar power. This has already resulted in a number of solar PV car park roofs with a total output of 30 MWp. These produce the electricity demand of around 10,000 private homes each year, an amount many times our own power consumption. But our potential has not been nearly met yet.
RACKWITZ LOCATION
Largest car park roof in the German-speaking region
In spring 2023, the largest PV car park roof in Germany at present was completed at our location in Rackwitz with logistics parking for over 6,000 passenger cars. In the coming months we will begin with another, even larger project at our location in Kippenheim. These PV car park roofs supply sustainable electricity for us and our regions.
